Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla discuss Sridevi on Koffee with Karan

Sridevi with Boney Kapoor
We finally saw the show! Great fun! When the "teen deviyaan" of Bollywood were the trifecta led by Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, the media made, in the words of Madhuri, "unnecessary hype" about the alleged rivalry between the actresses. While all three remained painfully polite in the press, the hyper hacks wrote a hell of a lot pitting the trio against each other.

Many have prayed and wished to see the trio together in one frame - it has never happened (unlike say the incredible snap of Rekha, Hema Malini and Sridevi together at Filmfare). The closest we have is Sri appearing on Madhuri Dixit's reality show and then Juhi appearing with Madhuri on Koffee with Karan, season 4.

Here's the excerpt that grabbed our attention:

Karan Johar: "...And the Sridevi factor is kind of interesting, because while you had a reverential vibe to her [looking at Juhi Chawla] 'cause you always went on record saying how you loved her, she was like a sword dangling over your [Madhuri Dixit] head again. There was a difference in how both of you approached Sridevi right?.

Juhi Chawla: That's true. I was, I still am, a fan.

Karan Johar: A fanclub!

Juhi Chawla: I see her today and I'm like gosh, what amazing work. I've seen her films again and again. Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Lamhe. I thought she was fabulous in every frame. So, I can't get over that.

Karan Johar: Do you think she was fabulous in every frame Madhuri?

Madhuri Dixit: Absolutely. Ya, ya. Absolutely. I think she is someone who is again, when the camera is off, she is like very, very quiet. When the camera is on, its like phew, don't know what happens... magic!

See a short clip from the show here. And other one, the rapid fire, here.
